Absecon Public Library offers books in many categories including large print books, books on tape, and books for adults, young adults and children. Magazines, paperback books, and VHS movies for children and adults are included in our collection.

You must provide proof of residency in Atlantic County when applying for a library card.
If no proof is available, we will mail you a card to your current address.

Patrons of COIL member libraries must show a vaild card from their home library.

A number of new DVD releases are available.

Fax, copier, and notary services are also offered, along with public access to the Internet, including wireless.

We offer many free services to our patrons:

Download audio books and e-books from the South Jersey Regional Library Cooperative's "OverDrive" site. Click HERE to enter (or the graphic upper right). Have your library card number and pin number ready!

• Our partnership with Tutor.com, a free "homework help" website for our patrons. You or your child may get LIVE help from a certified tutor. You'll need your library card! Click HERE for more information.

• Need help finding state services and agencies? The site, http://gethelp.njlibraries.org, has categories listing Work Tools, Financial Tools, Housing Tools, Health Tools and Parental Tools, as well as Tools for Seniors. Users will find resources to help them pay their bills, avoid foreclosure, get job assistance or file for Medicaid. Click the link at the top of this page.

• Children ages 3 through 5 are invited to attend STORY TIME every Wednesday morning at 10:00AM. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
